Interviews have always made me nervous. As a magician—and even more so as a counselor—I'm trained to keep secrets, respect boundaries, and handle stories with care. So when the opportunity for an interview arises, my instincts go on high alert. What if I say too much? What if my words are misunderstood?
But my recent conversation with Sarah Fenske was nothing like that. It didn’t feel like an interview in the traditional sense; it felt like catching up with a friend who genuinely wanted to understand my journey. Sarah had this incredible ability to ask thoughtful questions without making me feel like she was digging for a headline. Instead, she handled my story with the same care and respect that I try to extend to those around me.
This interview was particularly meaningful because it was my first big interview since announcing my upcoming episode, set to air on March 7th. That alone brought its own wave of emotions—excitement, anxiety, and a deep sense of vulnerability. But Sarah made the process feel easy, and for that, I’ll be forever grateful.
I left our conversation feeling heard, supported, and—most importantly—excited to share this part of my journey with all of you.
Thank you, Sarah, for making what could have been a nerve-wracking experience into something I’ll always remember with gratitude.
Stay tuned for more updates as I get closer to the big day!
