Amanda, a mild-mannered magician born and raised in St. Louis, is taking on Penn & Teller: Fool Us in Season 11, showcasing her unique approach to magic on a national stage. Since her appearance, Amanda has become a full-time magician, performing at theaters, comedy clubs, galas, fundraisers, and private events across the country.
Amanda’s magic is rooted in connection and curiosity, shaped by her background in psychology and communication. A graduate of the University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL), she holds a double major in Psychology and Communications, a Master of Education in Counseling, a Deaf Communications Certificate, and is both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). Her deep understanding of human behavior gives her magic a thoughtful and emotionally intelligent edge—allowing her performances to feel both intimate and impactful.
Her professional magic journey began in 2014 with a debut show benefiting the Vasculitis Foundation. Long before that, Amanda had already been performing since she was eight years old, with her first public show taking place in the fifth grade. During her years working in a building dedicated exclusively to children with special needs, she often integrated magic into her daily work—using tricks as a bridge for rapport and motivation. That experience shaped her inclusive philosophy and deepened her commitment to using magic as a tool for engagement, not just entertainment.
Amanda has become a household name in St. Louis and has earned a wide online following, thanks to her viral social media content. Known for filming her magic from a first-person GoPro perspective, Amanda flips the lens to highlight what she believes is the true magic: people’s reactions. This unique format has resonated with millions, drawing in audiences who are just as captivated by raw, human wonder as they are by the effects themselves.
Her work has been featured in Magische Welt, MagicSeen, and Genii Magazine, reflecting her growing influence in the magic community. She is also a proud member of the Chicago Magic Lounge and the Academy of Magical Arts.
Whether online or onstage, Amanda creates performances that are grounded in empathy, authenticity, and joy. Her mission is to make magic feel personal and accessible—to leave every audience with a sense of connection, surprise, and shared wonder.
